Year by year, we dedicate our efforts on using Bachoco’s social responsibility in favor of the welfare of our collaborators, our community, and the environment.

This year we achieved great goals in favor of:

Together for our team

    • We generate over 25,000 direct jobs; adding up over 20,000 collaborators in Mexico and over 4,000 in USA.
    • We consolidated Bachoco’s Wellness Program in three dimensions: Work Welfare, Personal Welfare and Social Welfare.
    • Over 16,000 collaborators received training on our Culture Model (vision, mission, core values, beliefs) and Code of Ethics, which play an important role in our daily experience and allow us to be recognized as a Super Company by Expansión Magazine.
    • We created the Program for Development of Executive Women Talent, in partnership with ITESM (Tecnológico de Monterrey) university, to promote our female collaborators’ empowerment and professional growth.

Together for our planet

    • We built several wastewater treatment plants in our production centers, in order to mitigate the negative effects of water scarcity.
    • We are replacing oil with natural gas in our operation centers to reduce the amount of gas emissions and particles sent to the atmosphere.
    • We use biogas in our pig farms, located at the center of Mexico, to promote sustainability in terms of energy consumption, costs and environmental impact.
    • In cooperation with PROFEPA, we started a certification program as a Clean Industry for our processing plants in Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco and Cuilacán.
    • We carried out the national reforestation campaign “Sembrando Vida”.

Together for our business

    • We consolidate programs such as Bachoco’s Culture Model, the Corporate University and our Wellness Program to support our business’ development.
    • We developed our Continuous Improvement Program through the implementation of the Lean Six Sigma methodology. This process started with the certification of some key collaborators as Black Belt and Green Belt.
    • We implemented a CRM as well as the Customer School Program to work closer to our clients.
    • We were recognized by the Corporate Reputation Business Monitor (MERCO in Spanish) with the 44th position of the 100th ranking of companies with the best corporate reputation.

Together for our products

    • We are in one of the highest positions in the Most Valued and Most Admired Campaigns of the last two years, according to the “Trends of the Advertising Study” made by the Group of Consultants AgencyScope, México.
    • We obtained the “Taste of the Year” quality certification, granted for the food industry by Global Quality Certifications (México).
    • We have the SQF (Safe Quality Food) certification for our Culiacán processing plant.
    • We are working on our distribution centers’ certification through the Internal System of Quality and Food Safety (SICSA in Spanish), to train our employees in the handling and care of all products.

Together for our community

    • We provide support in situations of natural disasters through donations, reconstruction or through our SUMA (Alimentary Emergency Mobile System) project.
    • We created the first "Unidos por la Alimentación" Race, together with our business partners. The amount collected has been destined to the habilitation of Community Diners in the city of Celaya, Guanajuato.
    • We implemented Bachoco's Day Program to bond with universities and future professionals.
